Ying Kong Shi
I thought he needs no intro, but well, there are still friends out there, who have noooo idea. This is for you, ladies.
His Highness is one, if not the most powerful immortal in the Kingdoms.
He's the only son of Yuan Ji (who was the last and dead king of the Ice-Flame Clan), and Lian Ji (she was concubine of the late Ice King, adopted daughter of the mermaid royal family).
Having returned to the Kingdoms with the support of higher powers, Shi finds himself near to the throne of the Ice Clan again, this time without his sword and without his brother, Ka Suo. After accomplished the once most important task of his life, now he has to find a new aim for himself to live for.
Possibilities are unlimited. Look at his face. He's not that sure any more, is he?
(Ying means cherry blossoms. Shi himself is originally related to cherry trees, yet I'm sure these are the ones on the mermaid dating island, not the eternal ones of the Ice Clan. This is free to be discussed.)

Being a mortal girl among the immortals of the Palace of the Ice Clan she knows her place well. But people change. And no-one should underestimate a mortal girl.
She tries to fit in for as long as possible, but when the time comes, she makes quick and serious decisions. Maybe too quick. But mortals don't live that long, so please grant her some understanding.

Xi Huan
Nobody is perfect, but let us not even use this word in the same text with this evil woman. Cruelty cannot be explained by any means. Luckily nobody promised the status of the High Maid in the Royal Palace of the Ice Clan to last until peaceful retirement.
(Have you seen Ice fantasy Destiny? If yes, no further explanation is necessary. This character is my personal vendetta. I Do Not Like this verb, and I'm surely not alone.)
Liang Dao
The General of the Kingdom Guard is a loyal servant of the Ice Clan, wise and honourable, blessed or cursed with having more and more headstrong youngsters under his command. He may have to use the serious voice of a father to keep things under control. But he likes challenges.

Yue Liang and Li Ming
Young and beautiful commoners of the Ice Clan, servants in the Royal Palace. Yue Liang usually takes her duties too seriously, worrying more than healthy. Good friend to Li Ming and Bai He.
Li Ming is playful and shiny as dancing snowflakes, having only some princes on her mind. She is a good friend to Yue Liang and Bai He, when she has time to pay attention.

Kai Chou Yan
He is the talented blacksmith of Xiang Mu village. Official supplier of the Kingdom Guard for weapons, horseshoes and stubborn applicants. He is trustworthy, but happier when being left alone to work on his next artefacts in peace.
(Kai means a beginning. Possibilities, remember? The old Chou Yan was named after the eternal smoke around the forge. But this is the heart-warming smoke of the home, not of your enemy.)

Kai Jian Ming
Daughter of Kai Chou Yan, the blacksmith. Which means she is not some common village maiden in light-coloured skirt, with flowers in her hair. Everyone should consider himself as warned. She is warm-hearted, in spite of the fact that she grew up with only men around her. She is convinced she already met the most challenging situations of her life. No bigger mistakes ever.

Kai Xi Wang
Only son of Kai Chou Yan. He is the Captain of the Kingdom Guard, blessed with the most important values of a Guardian: strength and honour. Not lacking of course some other virtues like being tall, wide-shouldered and handsome.
He loves his sister as much as possible. Which doesn't mean his heart is his own. Which can be problematic, if you already pledged your loyalty to someone else.

Liu Shu
Experienced and loyal Counsellor of the Ice Clan. Being a good politician he always knows more than he shows. He should be only a little bit more careful about hiding things though.

He Bian and Lu Shan
Good friends to Kai Xi Wang. Officers in the Guard, which never held them back from having fun.
(Riverbends and green mountains are common in the Mortal Kingdom. We all love them. They cheer us when we are low. You can sing to them too.)
Chou Lou and Yu Ben
These two bastards are convinced they can get everything with their swords. Wrong.
